This photo of the M42, Orion Nebula, is a combination of 30X30 sec RGB, 20 X 120 sec RGB and 9 X 300 sec Hα subs taken with a Canon XSi attached to a Televue NP-127is telescope. This beautiful nebula is located in the sword of Orion. It is generally accepted that Nicholas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc discovered it in 1610. This nebula is one of the brightest nebulae, and is visible to the naked eye in the night sky
